Typically we produce an issue the first week of classes, but due to a serious budgetary error we were unable to go to print last week. This week, however, we’re back on track and ready to serve you, the readers.
We say serve because that’s what we’re here to do. We’re here to keep you informed about campus and community news and events. We’d also like to point out that The Pointer serves as a public forum, a place for you all to express your ideas and opinions in print. All contributions are edited for Associated Press Style, but your message stays unchanged.
The newspaper is not our only medium. The Pointer Online is a nationally ranked website by the Associated Collegiate Press, and offers additional content, including videos of campus and the city of Stevens Point.
We also have an official Facebook page and Twitter account where we welcome further interaction in order to bolster our presence on social media and become a more interactive publication.
We’d also like to remind you all that we are a collection of college students that strive to report about our campus with integrity and fairness. In order to better represent campus as a whole, we urge each and every one of you to reach out to us via social media, our website, email, and in person. Our office is located in the Communication Arts Center, and we’d love to see more foot traffic in here.
?In short, pick up the paper. Get involved. Talk to us, we’re here to listen. Your voice will be heard.?
