Student Government Association: Rules Committee

Rules Committee meets at 12:15 p.m. every Monday in the Brewhaus conference room with Speaker of the Senate Amy Vida serving as chair.

“As a part of my position, I create the agenda each week and bring a draft of it to Rules Committee,”
Vida said.

Rules Committee is a body that looks at the legality of constitutions and bylaws of other student organizations and makes any necessary changes before being presented to the Student Government Association general meetings.

“We exist to maintain order in organizations and also serve as an ethics committee,” Vida said. “We make sure that the student organization constitutions are good. We’re kind of a catchall.”

Rules Committee meetings are open to University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point students and faculty and to those that have written constitutions and bylaws they
want revised.
