The Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robbins dual concept restaurant at 617 Division Street in Stevens Point is expected to open in the middle of October, but no official opening date has been set.
The restaurant opening was previously postponed due to a lack of building materials due to COVID-19.
Both Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins are hiring forty to fifty positions, and every position is available from manager, to cashier, to cook.
Interested parties can apply online and interviews will be conducted in another Dunkin’ Donuts location.
Stevens Point Mayor Mike Wiza said it will be interesting to see how the community reacts, especially college students, because of its convenient location.
Freshman UWSP student Olivia Weytens said, “I’m used to Starbucks coffee, and I’m excited to try Dunkin’s coffee. It’s right on Isadore, so it is more convenient.”
Freshmen UWSP students Kiley Komperud and Megan Wurm are excited to go with their friends and eat some donuts.
Wiza said that he wants to bridge the gap between the city and members of the university.
Wiza’s main message is that Stevens Point residents are all members of the same community, and they should all know what is going on and keep up with current events in the city.
His goal is that through these connections, people in the Stevens Point community won’t feel divided and can come together.
Wiza said, “If donuts can’t make you feel better, maybe ice cream can.”

Wiza said that he loves engaging with students and community members and that everyone’s voice is important.
He is available to reach out to and is happy to talk to anyone and answer questions.
