BoBabes is a women-owned business that opened July of this year. It is located at 641-B Division Street near campus.

The local business prides itself on quality and authenticity. They serve freshly brewed teas and homemade baked goods.

The menu features a wide array of options, from milk teas to egg tarts. With the customer in mind, BoBabes is always shaking things up, creating fun themed drinks and baked goods to enjoy year-round. Most recently, they launched vegan options for select drinks and baked goods.

Natalie Steffen, co-founder and vice president of BoBabes, said that the menu is, “a fusion between Taiwan, and Wisconsin.”

Commitment to quality is key at BoBabes. All the tea is imported from Taiwan and brewed fresh each morning.

BoBabes baker and co-founder Yvonne Chen strives to bring authenticity to the food that is being served, crafting new treats weekly. Chen believes good food and drink can bring anyone together.

Pei-Ying Wang, President and co-founder of BoBabes, said that inclusion, love and unity are at the core of BoBabes’ mission.

“We want to be able to bring everybody together,” said Wang. She emphasized the importance of providing, “a space that welcomes everybody.”

Moe Wai, store manager of BoBabes, and Wang both saw an opportunity to introduce a slice of Taiwanese culture to Stevens Point.

“It’s about providing a little culture in our little city,” Wang said.

Creativity fills the store front. The walls are covered in doodles from students and community members, and they also highlight artwork from local artists.

“We wanted a space where everyone could put their phones down and interact with each other,” Steffen said.

Born out of a desire to foster a vibrant, community-driven ecosystem, BoBabes has quickly established itself in Stevens Point, threading together the culture of Taiwan with the town’s local fabric.
